The Hospital emergency Department consists of two units:
- surgical unit
- non-surgical unit
The Hospital Emergency Department provides life and health saving services for patients referred by external institutions of POZ (Basic Health Care), NSPL (Holiday and Night-time Medical Care), WPR (Provincial Emergency Service) only in the case of direct threat to life and health.
The Hospital Emergency Department does not provide services in the scope of POZ (Basic Health Care), NSPL (Holiday and Night-time Medical Care), PS (Specialist Outpatient Clinic).
The Hospital Emergency Department provides services in the area of:
- resuscitation and performance of medical procedures
- preliminary intensive therapy
- the department also provides access to a helicopter landing pad
If your child falls ill you need to report to the Basic Health Care Institution (between 8:00 am 6:00 pm) or to the Holiday and Night-time Medical Care Centre (between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am) and during public holidays and off work days). The list of adresses of the Holiday and Night-time Medical Care Centres can be found at each Basic Health Care Institution.
The Hospital Emergency Department is intended for patients in emergency life and health threatening conditions and it does not replace the Basic Health Care Institutions, Specialist Outpatient Clinics or the broadly understood diagnostics.
